My Personal Story
I grew up in a chaotic and stressful environment, became married at the age of 16, moved to another country, and had two children by the age of 20. It was overwhelming in ways I could not then recognize. I understand feelings of confusion and loneliness. I know what grief and anger feels like.
Yet I coped and I learned. I observed and I read. Looking back now, I see the many ways my experiences informed my future interests and my career path. I wanted more. Opportunities came to me, and I stepped forward. I have experienced the joys of seeing my children grow into capable and caring individuals, and the rewards of career success. I honor my deceased parents, and I appreciate my family. I enjoy loving and rewarding relationships with my partner, children, family members, friends and colleagues. I draw upon many valuable and significant personal life experiences in ways that significantly enhance my coaching skills and abilities.

EDUCATION
- Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Health Education & Health Promotion from the University of New Mexico
- Two Master’s degree in nursing (MSN), one as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from New Mexico State University, and the other as a Community Health Clinical Nurse Specialist/Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alabama in Birmingham
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from Troy State University in Troy, Alabama

- Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coaching Federation
- Nationally board-certified Adult Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and (previously) Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center

- Consultant: Includes development of holistic nursing educational programs and courses, research and development of a registration process in Canada for the Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner role, and implementation of holistic nurse practitioner services in an integrative practice clinic
- Community Service: Includes establishing and leading the New Mexico Holistic Nurse Network for 10 years, serving on the Board of Directors of the Rio Grande Center for Spiritual Living for 6 years, and volunteering for 3 years as a Disaster Action Team member with the American Red Cross

My personal life experiences greatly enhance my professional credentials. It is the examination of my own life and circumstances, my surrender to that which is greater than myself, and my own search for meaning that has led me to this time and place where I now joyfully and skillfully give that which I now am to my clients and to the world.
